That been said if you are on other platform you need to download email test plugin and try send a email to yourself. Check both inbox and spam folder if your mail is in spam that means your IP or email spam score is high which may require changing them or the content of the message is suspicious. If not there is something wrong with the host. Best thing to do, is to use an external email provider like mailgun (has free trial) or Amazon SES, there are also free plugins to implement them.
